Hobbitenango has two restaurants, 26 distinct areas to explore, and 3 hobbit-style casitas that you can rent to stay the night. With gorgeous views over the valley and no wi-fi, you'll get the chance to disconnect from the routine, and reconnect with yourself, nature, and loved ones.

When Hobbitenango opened its round doors in 2015, the only jobs in our area were in agriculture or construction, so many young people moved away looking for better-paying work. We are proud to now employ over one hundred of our local neighbors. We offer continued education in the growing tourism industry with continuous training in hospitality, park management, gourmet dining, world-class bartending, and English-classes for all of our staff. We work hard to bring the best service to our customers and the best opportunities for our valued employees...the next generation of happy Hobbits.

What to do at Hobbitenango:
Hobbitenango is well-known for its spectacular views over the valley and the nearby volcanoes. You can enjoy the views from any number of sites in the park and around the mountain, hike the nearby trails, and rest in any of our four public hobbit-style homes, restaurants, cafe, or bar.
If you're feeling playful, you can enjoy archery, axe-throwing, seven holes of mini-golf, faire games, and the largest tree swing in Central America. If you are a guest in our hotel, all of the activities and entrance to the park are included in your stay.
On weekends and holidays, Hobbitenango hosts a wide range of artisans in our artisan market and you can try local chocolates, coffee, and typical Guatemalan sweets from local makers. Also on weekends, there are mini-golf tournaments and live music on the outdoor stage.
